Dr. Carlo Rubio is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and PELI’s key Glaucoma specialist. Glaucoma is a disease that damages the eyes’ optic nerves usually due to high eye pressure. This can result in irreversible and progressive vision loss. Dr. Rubio can aid the patient through treatments that help prevent the progression of vision loss and aid in lessening the risk of developing certain types of Glaucoma.
Dr. Carlo Rubio obtained his medical degree from the University of the Philippines, College of Medicine. He was able to complete his residency at the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital (PGH). From there, he attained his diplomate via the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology and eventually earned his Fellowships in Glaucoma at PGH and at the Singapore National Eye Centre.
